Volunteer to Help during Setup Dec. 16, 17, 18 or during Distribution Dec. 19 & 20 or during Cleanup Dec. 21, 2024

Our number of volunteers needed are uncertain at this time. Here is what we know so far:

  • We will be using the Anoka Armory 408 E Main St. Anoka, MN this year. Volunteers are needed for setup, distribution and cleanup.
  • Donated food collected from area schools and purchased food items are delivered to the armory.
  • During setup days, volunteers need to move, sort, inventory and organize food items in preparation for distribution.
  • During setup days, volunteers will pick up toys, books and food items from community donation drop-boxes locations and deliver them to the Anoka Armory.
  • During setup days in the Anoka Armory, volunteers will organize and display toys or books by categories based on age, gender, type.
  • Upon entering the Anoka Armory on distribution days, clients will check in.
  • During distribution, volunteers will assist each client when receiving food items, selecting books and toys for their families.
  • During distribution days volunteers will fill boxes and load carts with food items from each food category based on client’s family size.
  • After clients receive their food items and selected books and toys, volunteers will assist them with loading all items into their cars.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP WITH TASKS ASSOCIATED WITH SETUP AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD AND TOYS.

Due to the limited room in the Anoka Armory we may have fewer slots for volunteers than in the past. We appreciate all offers of assistance and look forward to seeing you at our event this year. Volunteer link below is now active.
