  1. We only serve people that live in North Anoka County.
  2. We do NOT serve Columbia Heights, Fridley, Hilltop nor Spring Lake Park residents.  If you live there, contact SACA Foodshelf in Columbia Heights by phone: 763-789-2444 or at their website: www.sacafoodshelf.org
  3. The Christmas Committee does not have an office location. The Anoka National Guard Armory staff cannot help you. The Anoka Armory is the distribution site.
  4. Applications can be submitted from October 1 through November 24, 2024.

ON-LINE APPLICATIONS ONLY

  1. One application per household. ON-LINE APPLICATIONS ONLY.
  2. Only apply for children for whom you have legal custody.
  3. Fill out the application carefully. Indicate a “wish list” of types of toys, games and books each child may like. Gift requests up to $35 value per child.
  4. Be sure to check the box to indicate you agree that Christmas Committee may:
    1. Share information on your application with other groups giving food and toys.
    2. Check other systems to find out if your application information is correct.
    3. Inform other groups that you applied with Christmas Committee.
  5. Home Delivery is available only if your application is APPROVED and if you are DISABLED and HOMEBOUND, and have CHECKED the BOX at the end of the application form, then local law enforcement or firefighters will deliver food and gifts to your home address given on your application.

IF WE APPROVE YOUR APPLICATION

  1. APPROVED applicants will be sent a postcard notification in mid-December with your appointment date and time. Notifications are mailed to your home address given on your application.
  2. Your appointment time will be a time slot between 8 AM to 4:30 PM on December 19 or 20, 2024. Please, COME INTO THE ANOKA ARMORY AT YOUR APPOINTED TIME.
  3. You will need to come into the Anoka Armory at 408 E. Main St., Anoka, MN 55303, and be able to show an ID with your signature in order to receive food and select toys for your family.
  4. Here is a link to an easy to follow map to our distribution site.
  5. When near the Anoka Armory look for signs or volunteers directing you where to go.
  6. When inside the Anoka Armory you will receive food and select gifts for your children from available and donated items.
  7. If you cannot come at your appointment time, you can send someone to pick up your toys and food.
    1. Give them a note that tells your name and states that you give them permission to pick up for you.
    2. Have them come at your appointment time and bring along your appointment card and your ID plus their own ID.
  8. Emergency limited Food & Toy pick up time on December 19, 2024 only from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Bring your appointment card and ID. Doors will be locked at 6:00 PM.
  9. Approved applicants who are Homebound and will be receiving Home Delivery will be sent their notification by postcard. Home Delivery for those who are Homebound, will occur sometime during the distribution days of December 19 or 20, 2024. Law enforcement or firefighters will deliver food and gifts to your home address given on your application. There must be a person at your home to accept the delivery.
